Richland Cops Seeking Fraud Return Suspect–Growing Crime

Richland police are seeking this man, in connection with an alleged fraudulent return at the Fred Meyer Store on 11-4.

The man allegedly returning an item, police didn't say how much it was worth, but obviously large enough to wind up on the wanted list.

While it's not an everyday happening, more and more cases like this are popping up. They usually involve a stolen or shoplifted item which a suspect then brings back to the store and returns. They usually hope to get cash, but without a receipt they are often given a store merchandise card.
