Richland Hit-And-Run Driver Takes Out Vehicles, Apartment Carport

The driver was located in a nearby apartment but refused to exit.

Richland Police were called to an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Pike Ave. around 12:31 AM Sunday morning, about a wild crash.

Witnesses said the driver hit several vehicles, and took out a post holding up a carport before fleeing the scene on foot.

  Witnesses Helped ID the Suspect

RPD Officers said the man was located in a nearby apartment, but also received information that a firearm was associated with the incident.  Initially Police said the man refused to exit, but eventually gave up and was arrested.

He was booked into the Benton County Jail on multiple charges, and the investigation continues.  Police did not initially say if they have any information about what led to the crash.
