Kennewick Police didn't say when the incident occurred, but it was a 'recent' road rage situation. It's possible it was the incident back on December 10th near Gage and Steptoe.

During the investigation, it was determined the suspect displayed a weapon, threatening another driver who honked at them. The suspect was located, and their car was towed due to probable cause involving the gun.

Turns out, the suspect said the gun was purchased "off the street" and a check of the serial number showed it was reported stolen out of Western Washington.

Police say (again!) it's not the greatest idea, if you're looking to get a firearm, to buy one off the street or from someone whom you know nothing about or is under dubious circumstances. This investigation continues.
