The crash occurred early Saturday morning, but due to the investigation, Grant County released more information Monday.

Not known yet if occupants wearing seatbelts

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, it is not yet known who was driving the car. Around 6:30 AM, a 2003 Chevy Cavalier was westbound on Frontage Road, which runs 'alongside' part of Interstate 90 west of Moses Lake.

Just west of Hiawatha Road, which intersects Frontage near the freeway on-off ramps, the car failed to negotiate the sweeping turn.

It then drove off the road and rolled, ejecting all four people inside.  The GCSO says an unidentified man was killed in the crash and they released a statement that read in part concerning the others in the vehicle:

"Curry S. Ortega, 22, from Moses Lake, a 14-year-old woman from Quincy and an unidentified man were airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane."

As of Monday, GCSO says updates on their condition were not known.  GCSO did not say if any of the four were wearing seatbelts. We also do not yet know if speed was a factor.
