School Zone Lights Are Still Flashing for a Reason
With schools closed down, why are the school zone lights flashing? You can still get a speeding ticket through the zones because the lights are flashing for a reason.
According to the Richland and Fire Emergency Services, the lights are flashing for a reason. Here is what they had to say about the school zones:
Although schools are temporarily closed, the school zone lights have been reprogrammed for the lunch hour so students may safely get to and from school to pick up their lunch. The lights will flash from 10:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please reduce speed to 20 mph during this time.
Police don't play when it comes to school zones, so drive slow and be careful, I don't want you to get a fat ticket for breaking the law.
