Seat Belt Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant and Meth Bust
It's always the smallest things that sometimes result in bigger issues.
Early Thursday morning a man and woman were arrested by Kennewick police after a routine traffic stop revealed they were in possession of meth, and both were wanted on outstanding warrants.
The Kennewick Police CAT (Criminal Apprehension Team) was conducting patrols near Highway 395 and Yelm St. 36-year-old Thomas Jennings, and 26-year-old Deanna Thomas were pulled over for not wearing seat belts.
Officers found Jennings had a Department of Corrections Warrant, and Thomas was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Franklin County. In addition, meth was found in the vehicle. Both are now in jail.
Better buckle up next time!
