Staggering Drug Suspect Busted by Kennewick Police
Sunday Kennewick police apprehended a suspect who was believed to be under the influence of a number of drugs that are part of a growing problem.
Police arrived at the Guesthouse Inn and Suites on Clearwater to find 21-year-old Peter D. Polis. He'd been loitering and acting strangely outside the hotel.
After a short foot chase he was caught by officers. He was obviously under the influence of a narcotic, according to police. Officers found a small piece of tin foil on his person, containing remnants of what was said to be Fentanyl. Police say users heat up the tin foil, then drag the pill across the hot foil.
As the pill heats up, visible fumes come off the tinfoil and can be inhaled with a straw or even an empty pen case. A small chunk of pill was found inside the foil, it will be sent to the state crime lab for analysis.
Polis was booked in jail for obstruction of justice and drug possession.
