State Patrol Working on Why SUV and Pickup Collided Near Richland
The Washington State Patrol is working on why two vehicles collided on Highway 240 Thursday morning.
David K. Halls, a 74-year-old Rock Island man, was driving a brown 2005 Kia Sportage SUV east on the highway, about five miles west of Richland.
Troy A. Badeaux, a 33-year-old Kennewick man, was driving a white 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup west.
The SUV and pickup were going opposite directions when they collided at about 9:30 a.m.
Both drivers were injured and taken to Kadlec Regional Medial Center for treatment.
The WSP said the collision is under investigation and any recommendations for charges will come after they determine the cause.
