A horrific crash has closed the northbound lanes of State Route 125, which runs from Prescott, past Walla Walla and College Place, to Stateline at Milton Freewater.

The driver of stolen US Linen truck was in the wrong lane

Trooper Chris Thorson, the communications director for the Washington State Patrol's southeastern WA region, said around 11 AM authorities got reports of a US Linen delivery van driving erratically in the College Place area.

Then apparently the van veered out northbound onto SR 125, but was driving in the southbound lane. It collided with another vehicle head-on not far from the Walmart in College Place.

The victim driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the linen truck died at an area hospital.

The delivery truck was reported stolen

Thorson says the US Linen truck was stolen, no word yet on the driver or circumstances surrounding the theft. The investigation continues, Thorson says the northbound lanes of SR 125 will likely be closed until much later in the afternoon.
