One of the most anticipated Christmas light displays in Leavenworth, Washington has decided to make some big changes this year, and they benefit everyone.  2020 was a tough year for community events, including the town of Leavenworth as the annual Christmas Lighting Event was canceled.

Now, in 2021, with concerns still revolving around COVID, the city has decided to not hold the weekly flipping of the switch on Saturdays and Sundays.  Instead, the massive light display will shine every day of the week. So, if you want to take a trip to Leavenworth during the week, you can still experience the magical Christmas light display.

Not only will the lights shine brightly all week, but you will also find entertainment, holiday characters for photo ops, a Gingerbread exhibit, Carolers, and more. For the absolute best outcome you should plan your trip before you hit the road. Check out the event schedule and other fun things to do during your visit on their main website.

Be aware, some events are subject to change due to COVID-19 mandates and ongoing restrictions.  Check out the video below and see some of the progress as they get ready to launch the event on Thanksgiving.
