After 8 years of work, Pasco police announced the suspect in a 2010 stabbing is now in the Franklin County jail.

On February 7th, 2010, the suspect, 26-year-old Adan Virgen-Ponce, (left picture) was targeted as the suspect in the fatal stabbing of a doorman who was working at the El Patron nightclub. According to police, Ponce allegedly argued with 41-year-old Froilan Godines (right image)  then stabbed him. The stabbing took place shortly after closing time, and witnesses say Ponce had been confronted about trying to leave the club with alcohol.

He died from the wounds. Ponce fled to Mexico, but he's been in jail the last five years serving a sentence for another crime. He was finally extradited to Franklin County, upon his release from the Mexican jail.

He will now likely stand trial for the Pasco murder.
