Wednesday morning got off to a busy start for some Benton County Deputies, who around 9AM spotted a vehicle driven by a wanted felony suspect.

James R. Gibbons was being sought on an outstanding Felony Protection Order Warrant, but when Deputies tried to pull him over, he fled from this vehicle near the intersection of 2060 PR SE and E. Perkins Road, about 2 miles southeast of Kennewick near Chemical Drive.

Deputies were able to quickly set up a wide containment area, and apparently when Gibbons realized (probably via bullhorn) he was surrounded, he finally emerged from his hiding spot. He's now in the Benton County Jail.

No doubt the homeowner is glad he's there too, instead of hiding on his property.
