Suspects Shot by Police Were Involved in April Pasco Homicide
It reads like TV crime show. A few weeks ago at the end of April, there was a fatal shooting in Pasco, at a home in the 1900 block of East Lewis, and three total suspects were being sought.
Then, Sunday morning between 9-10AM, police responded to a home invasion at the SAME home, where a man and woman were shot. No word on their condition. Two suspects wearing bandannas fled the scene, and then carjacked a black 2019 Nissan Versa. The male driver was forced into the trunk by the suspects, but managed to pull the internal emergency lever when they slowed down and he escaped.
Then Sunday afternoon, between 3-4PM, police reported there was an exchange of gunfire between police and two suspects. One was reported dead the other is in the hospital after the exchange. That incident was reported near 12th and Nixon Streets.
Pasco Police now say the two men, Juan Manuel “Scars” Montalvo, 25, and his cousin, Miguel Angel “Terco” Montalvo, 21, had been pursued for weeks since the April shooting. Police didn't give a lot of details, but said they "related" to the April homicide and the home invasion earlier in the day.
The Special Investigations Unit is handling the investigation now. No other real details have yet been released.
