I know shooting off fireworks is the way we celebrate Independence Day in America, but we can't just be all willy-nilly.

The new launch site will be right in front of the driving range at Columbia Park Golf Links.

So how do Pasco city officials feel about the partial lift on the fireworks ban? Crews in Pasco responded to 11 grass fires, 4 structure fires and 5 miscellaneous fires on the 4th.  I think city officials are still good with their decision because it looks like all the fires were started by "illegal" fireworks, not the stuff that is no longer banned like Sparklers, Wizz-Whirls, Jumping J

The weather cooperated this year for the 'River of Fire' festivities at Columbia Park in Kennewick. Crowds soared somewhere in the neighborhood of 20,000 people.
