By passing the State House Healthcare and Wellness Committee, it will now soon head for a formal vote. If it passes, it will go to Senate, where a companion bill will be voted on. It is almost a formality that if approved, Gov. Inslee will sign off on it.

The measure, Senate bill 6116, was actually introduced by a Democrat, Senator Tim Sheldon, who represents the 35 District  West of Tacoma, including the City of Shelton, WA.  Eight other Senators, including a number from Eastern Washington,  are co-sponsors.

There was so much hype about this proposed legislation which would replace the death penalty with life in prison.

Next Tuesday, legislators will take comments and input on a bill that would force every private insurance policy in Washington state to cover abortions.

The bill, SB 5289, has a hearing Monday, February 2nd in Olympia.

Currently, Washington state law considers fantasy sports leagues a "game of chance" rather than a game of skill -- as regarded by federal law.

Although many votes remain to be counted, the "yes" margin for controversial Initiative 1351 is growing.

If the much-talked-about Senate Immigration Bill passes, illegal aliens can still commit crimes and become U.S. citizens -- without being punished!

Perhaps the mind-numbing specifics are not that important, but the end result is for American families making $40,000 or more in 2013 paying rising taxes.
