After losing the fall season, the MId Columbia Conference opens tonight with a slew of games. But remember, don't expect to pile into the stadiums, due to COVID restrictions.

Tri-City officials are happy because the Mid-Columbia Conference will be getting another 3A competitor. Hermiston officials are happy because their athletes won't be living on a bus for 3 weeks out of the year. Hermiston will become the first out-of-state school to ever join the WIAA and compete in Washington sports.
After January 29th, Hermiston officials will have a much clearer idea if their desire to join the Mid Columbia Conference will happen. And according to sources, the plan has "100%" support and approval from the 7 Tri-City high schools and Walla Walla.
