The Seahawks had a bye last week but it seems like it's been a month! I know what a bye week is, I just want to know why it's called that. If you Google it, you'll find several explanations on NFL teams that have a "bye" in the first round of the play offs and such...

Tri-City officials are happy because the Mid-Columbia Conference will be getting another 3A competitor. Hermiston officials are happy because their athletes won't be living on a bus for 3 weeks out of the year. Hermiston will become the first out-of-state school to ever join the WIAA and compete in Washington sports.

Not even a Little Leaguer would swing at this.

All the necessary pieces appear to be in place, now it's likely just up to the OSAA (Oregon Schools Activities Association) to determine if Hermiston will move North sports-wise and join the Mid Columbia Conference.
