Tashia Stuart Found Guilty of Shooting Her Mother Judy Hebert in Pasco
After a lengthy investigation and trial, a verdict is in from the March 2011 murder.
A Franklin County Superior Court jury found Stuart guilty Wednesday for fatally shooting her mother Judy Hebert in West Pasco.
Stuart claimed Hebert came at her with a hatchet after they had been arguing about money. Jurors were told Monday they could consider several lesser charges, but the verdict returned Wednesday was guilty of first-degree murder and attempted murder.
Franklin County prosecutors also claimed Stuart had attempted to kill Hebert about a month earlier by setting up a heavy box of books to fall on Hebert's head from the rafters in her garage.
Jurors had deliberated for about a day-and-a half after the month-long trial.
