Theft Suspect Assaults, Threatens ‘Life’ of Store Security Worker
A woman is in the Benton County jail after she allegedly assaulted a loss prevention officer, threatened to 'kill' him, and was found in possession of drugs.
Thursday afternoon, police were called to the Fred Meyer at Highway 395 and 10th Ave. for a report of a theft in progress.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Lindsey Bramlett, was stopped by the officer after she was seen allegedly taking clothes and other items and trying to leave the store. She dropped the merchandise when confronted, but then shoved the officer and threatened to 'kill' him.
She ran from the store, but workers and the officer followed her and she was located inside a nearby business when police arrived. After a search Bramlett was also arrested for suspected drug possession besides the theft and assault.
