Thief Tries Hiding Stolen Goods in Grill of Cop Car During Traffic Stop

Kennewick police say a man and woman are in custody following accusations they not only were selling drugs, but also stole some property.

Sunday evening, police were alerted to the couple allegedly trying to sell drugs from the parking lot by a business in the 12200 block of West Clearwater. Upon arrival shortly after 6pm, police found out the couple allegedly stole somebody's cellphone charger.

When the couple was located near Ridgeline and Clodfelter Roads, police say the female suspect tried to hide the charger by sticking it in the front grill of the police car when the officer was looking the other way!  But police noticed it, and Neysa Cuevas was booked into jail on theft charges. No word if the man was arrested.
