A malfunction on a train caused a heck of a lot of diesel to spill on the tracks and even into the Columbia River. According to reports, about 200 gallons were spilled between Pasco and Finley...and another 400 gallons after the train stopped in Finley. Since the train was leaking and moving when it crossed the river, officials estimate only about 9 gallons went into the water.
