It had first opened in December 2017, after the building had seen a five plus year run as the Lucky Bridge Casino.

The only strip club in the Tri-Cities announced over the weekend their doors were closing forever. City Stars Gentlemen's Club put up a short statement on their Facebook page, saying only:

"It’s with a heavy heart we announce we will not be reopening. We were hit hard by covid-19. We appreciate everyone who helped support City Stars."

The club had faced a few obstacles when it first prepared to open, according to the Tri City Area Journal of Business. They included making necessary modifications to the business to ensure separation from clients, by way of a stage.

When COVID came about, all such establishments were shut down in WA as of 3/31 and largely have remained closed.

The building is located in what is zoned as an industrial part of Kennewick, considered a bit of a rough area, especially for that type of entertainment business.

The venue had previously been the Lucky Bridge Casino for a five plus year run, ending in late 2016 after a lengthy series of struggles with their lease, financial problems, and other money issues. The casino abruptly closed Dec. 1 of that year.
