How often do you get to throw stuffed animals on the ice?

This Friday, it's Newstalk 870 night with the Tri-City Americans, and it's the annual Fred Meyer Teddy Bear Toss night!.  The Americans will be taking on Prince George, and fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used stuffed animals to the game.

If don't have any, a limited number will be available for purchase at Toyota Center for a very reasonable price.    When the Americans score their first goal,  fans will throw their animals onto the ice, where they will be collected and distributed to charities around the Mid-Columbia!

The Americans were one of the first teams to create the Teddy Bear Toss, and they are looking to beat the all-time record of 2,735 set in 2010.

Call the Americans office at (509) 736-0606 for tickets and information, and make sure you join Newstalk 870 for the annual Teddy Bear Toss night, this Friday!
