Two Area School Districts Ban Bouncy Houses at Events
An accident this last May has prompted two area school districts to ban bouncy houses from any school sanctioned activities.
Zillah and Selah will not be including the popular attractions due to a student who was seriously hurt at Zillah during an event. A video shows a gust of wind, likely a dust devil, caused the house to upend, spilling students off. One was seriously hurt and had to be hospitalized for a number of weeks. 3 others were also hurt.
Selah also chose to ban the attraction as well. According to school officials, liability issues, and the fact that weather conditions could abruptly change and cause safety concerns were the major reason they have been banned.
