Walmart Thief Scampers Away From Cart with Hundred$$ of Stolen Goods
Nobody likes seeing shoplifting or theft, because ultimately costs are passed on to consumers. But at least this one ended well. -0- for the perp.
Pasco Police seeking suspect who ran from store like Bambi
Early Friday morning, May 6th, Pasco Police say a loss prevention officer foiled a would-be shoplifter, who tried to sneak out with at least $465 worth of groceries and goods.
Officers said the man was captured on surveillance video, after loading up his cart, he made his way to the front of the store, carefully evading the checkout lines.
He was seen "patiently" waiting for when he thought the coast was clear, then tried to push the heavily loaded cart to the parking lot.
However, man was confronted by store security.
The man was stopped by what PPD said was Asset Protection, some call them loss prevention monitors, or store security. Either way, the man ditched the cart in the exit foyer and ran to the pickup truck pictured in our story, then sped away. At that point, the security officer called Police.
He was able to leave the lot just prior to the arrival of Officers. Anyone who may have information on this man, who in one of the images appears to run like Bambi, you're urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
