West Richland Fire Sends One Victim to Harborview
West Richland police now say one person was severely burned in a Thursday afternoon fire that destroyed two RV's and an outbuilding.
Fire and police crews were called to 38th and Van Giesen when the blaze broke out, the location is across the street from the police station.
Benton County Fire District 4 crews beat back the flames and put it out, one victim, say authorities, was most likely going to be sent to the burn center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. No word on the man's condition, he was said to be older, in his late 50's or early 60's. The two alarm fire was reported around 12:30pm, no word yet on what caused it.
A total of 3 families have been displaced due to the fire.
