What’s The Theme of Gov. Inslee’s Halloween Party? Pirates, of Course!
Considering Inslee and his administration appear to be in favor of new and higher taxes, more government spending, and intrusion into the lives of business and citizens with his controversial environmental ideas, pirates makes perfect sense!
Thursday's itinerary released by Inslee's press office shows from 6:00-7:30 tonight at the Executive Residence in Olympia, you can even stop by and trick-or-treat, but not sure if we're invited to the "Pirate-Themed" Halloween party. Arrrgh!
Here are some of the "tricks" we've received from Inslee so far during his administration:
- Trying to convince citizens that extending dozens of taxes set to expire aren't really new taxes.
- Without directly opposing several coal terminal projects on the West side, Inslee's environmental stance shows he favors "green" policies over strong economic growth.
- Inslee has laid out an expansive plan to try to keep Boeing from leaving Seattle, and Washington state, but failed to extend any similar help to other businesses. His only real public support of tax breaks has been for the aerospace industry.
Lately, Inslee has been making a lot of noise about wanting to push through a $.25 per-gallon gas tax to fund his transportation package. Wonder if that will be added to the bag of tricks we've already seen this year?
