West Richland police are seeking information about the would-be burglar who tried to break in to the Benton REA office very early Tuesday morning. A rather unusual burglary, who would break in to a public utility building?

Around 5am, authorities were summed by an alarm, but despite arriving within just a few minutes, didn't find the suspect(s).

Police say the person kicked in a door to gain access, but was likely scared off by the loud alarm. There's no video surveillance footage available, as apparently no cameras station in the area. Anyone with any information or who may have seen anything is urged to call (509)-628-0333. All leads can be confidential.
