Kennewick police apprehended a would-be drug dealer after he lost a foot race Tuesday night.

28-year-old Michael Eller was contacted by police  in the 600 block of North Union, but shortly thereafter decided to run away. An officer spotted him, and recognized him as being wanted on an outstanding warrant.

He was run down and located a few blocks away, arrested, and police found a variety of drugs on his person.  He's being charged with possession, intent to deliver, and the outstanding warrant.

Moral of story: don't try to outrun the cops, they will almost always outrun you and find you.
