Talk about a hot button issue!  A veterans group in Florida is incensed that an American flag that has Obama's image in place of the stars on the blue field has flown over the Democratic party office in Lake County.

Nancy Hurlburt, Chairman of the Lake County Democrats, said the flag has actually flown for a couple of months, but it was not until this week that it drew the attention of a veterans group.  A group of vets who are affiliated with the Veterans Memorial in Fountain Park located in Leesburg Fla, delivered a copy of the United States Federal flag code to Hurlburt at the headquarters.  One vet said he did not serve to fight for a flag with a politician on it.  Below is  part of the code  that governs the United States Flag (from Fox News):

Statute 256.05, which covers improper use of state or United States flag, or other symbol of authority, reads: "No person shall, in any manner, for exhibition or display:

"(1) Place or cause to be placed any word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing or advertisement of any nature upon any flag, standard, color, ensign or shield of the United States or of this state, or authorized by any law of the United States or this state; or

"(2) Expose to public view any such flag, standard, color, ensign or shield upon which shall have been printed, painted or otherwise produced, or to which shall have been attached, appended, affixed or annexed any such word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing or advertisement."

Take our Newstalk Poll--What are YOUR Thoughts?  By the way,  Dem. Chairman Hurlburt said she found the flag for sale online...for $12.95. Hurlburt took the flag down, but did not promise it would not fly again.
