The Pinal County Sherriff's Office along with ICE (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement) have broken up what is being called perhaps the biggest drug ring ever in the history of Arizona along the Mexican border.

Authorities confirm over 70 dealers and others have been arrested after a lengthy undercover operation that lasted 17 month.  Police say the ring was responsible for up to 65 percent of all drugs smuggled into the US.   Authorities not only arrested numerous individuals, but seized huge amounts of drugs, money, ammunition, weapons, bullet proof vests and more.  The drugs were smuggled in a variety of ways into the US-via tunnels, airplanes, human mules across the border and more.  Officials say the dealers had direct ties to violent Mexican drug cartels across the border.
