Multiple Adults Knowing CPR Saves Jr. High Student in Richland

A Carmichael Middle School student was running in gym class at Fran Rish Stadium when he collapsed in a seizure and had no pulse. The gym teacher began CPR and a vice principal experienced in CPR arrived just minutes later. Ambulances were out at other calls so no EMTs were available to respond. Richland firefighters came instead and used a defibrillator to regain a pulse. When an ambulance did arrive, the student was stable.
