Kennewick Police say the discovery of a deceased person at a home Tuesday is suspicious

Death of a person being investigated as a homicide

Tuesday afternoon, Kennewick Police were called to a home in the 400 block of South Buchanon street for a report of the discovery of a dead body.

According to initial reports, the person was discovered by a housekeeper around 2:15 PM.  The person's identity, gender, and other details have not been released due to the initial stages of the investigation.

One report says the victim is a male.

However, KPD did say the circumstances surrounding the incident are suspicious and therefore it's being looked at as a homicide.

Crime lab workers and investigators continue to work at the home Wednesday.

UPDATE---KPD says efforts to locate next of kin have been unsuccessful, the deceased person has been identified as 76-year-old Clayton Wick. Investigators are still at the scene.
