According to a study performed by Harris Poll on behalf of SunTrust Banks, Inc., 69% of Americans would not exchange gifts on the holidays if friends and family agreed not to exchange as well. The survey also found other data; 43% of gift-buyers feel pressured to spend more than they can afford. Without the need to buy gifts, participants say that they would use the money on holiday activities, paying debts, or just to save up for other things.

But by not buying gifts, people would break away from tradition. Gift-giving is a part of the identity of the holiday season. Do you think it's worth it? Answer in the poll below!
