End-of-the-World

According to the Mayan calender, we are all doomed come December 21 of this year when the world ends.
Interestingly, that ancient prediction would be in accordance with the 15 percent of people around the globe who believe the world will end during their lifetime.
Polling service Ipsos came to that percentage after surveying 16,262 adults in 22 different countries. It turns out Americans are the most doomsday-oriented folks in the world, with 22 percent answering that armageddon will come during their time on Earth. Tying the United States in that pessimistic top spot was Turkey.
The French have the most faith in humanity’s continued existence, with only six percent answering the world will end during their lifetime.
