And it's a wrap for Oregon Schools for the current school year. Oregon's K-12 schools will not reopen before the end of the academic school year in June.

Governor Kate Brown just announced at a press conference that Oregon schools will not reopen their buildings for the remainder of the current school year.

Washington and Idaho have already closed for the year and it was unexpected that Oregon would've followed suit.

Schools will continue to conduct classes online through distance learning so only on-site learning is closed.

Oregon has over 1,000 COVID-19 cases and more than 30 deaths in the state.

High school seniors who were on track to graduate as of March will all be given a passing grade, allowing them to receive a diploma in June. If your senior student isn't on track, school districts are being asked to help focus on those students who need extra help.
