It might not be where they wanted to go at the beginning of the season, but they’re going.Oregon Duck fans will have to take heart in knowing at least they can finished in the top 3 nationally in the BCS standings.  The Ducks have accepted an invite to play Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl January 3rd. The game between the two 11-1 schools will be held at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale AZ.  Both teams were in position to perhaps grab the National Championship game before dropping contests on the same day in November.

The University of Washington, coming off a disappointing loss to Washington State in the Apple Cup, will take on Boise State in the Las Vegas Bowl December 22nd.   The Dawgs could have perhaps grabbed a bigger slice of the post-season pie, but the Apple Cup loss dropped them behind Arizona State in the Pac-12 standings.  Boise State is 10-2 and tied with Fresno State and San Diego State for the Mountain West title.

And the Oregon State Beavers, who went much of the 2012 season quietly being ‘ignored’ by the media who focused on Oregon and Washington, will be headed to the Alamo Bowl December 29th in Texas with a 9-3 record.  The game could be considered a home game for their opponent, the 8-4 Texas Longhorns, who lost to Kansas State in their season finale.   The game will be played in San Antonio, Texas.
