Portland Hipsters Start ‘No-Pay Phone’ Company

What is society to do with all those phone booths everywhere? A couple of Portland computer geeks bought two and have a crazy idea.They installed VOIP -- free online telephone service. Their tiny phone company is called FuTel.

The idea was more interactive art or philanthropy than business, but people love the idea. The men are considering expanding. 

Wouldn't it be cool if payphones still worked around town and were all totally free?
