The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association is pushing the fall football season to start September 5th and other fall sports to start September 7th. It's likely younger youth (pre h.s.) sports will follow suit, as they usually mirror what the "bigger kids" do.

If you're a fan of baseball, and the best high school baseball in the state, you should come to GESA Stadium starting at 10am April 28th.  The Tri-City Dust Devils and Dutch Bros present the GESA Baseball Classic. That Saturday ,the Mid Columbia Conference schools will be playing their final regular season games before Districts and Regionals...

Tri-City officials are happy because the Mid-Columbia Conference will be getting another 3A competitor. Hermiston officials are happy because their athletes won't be living on a bus for 3 weeks out of the year. Hermiston will become the first out-of-state school to ever join the WIAA and compete in Washington sports.

All the necessary pieces appear to be in place, now it's likely just up to the OSAA (Oregon Schools Activities Association) to determine if Hermiston will move North sports-wise and join the Mid Columbia Conference.

Experts and officials have called it the worst example of cheating and fraud in Washington state high school sports history, but now parents of players are suing.

It's probably the MOST shocking and comprehensive case of cheating and rule breaking in decades in Washington State, and it could result in loss of state championships and other penalties.
