TC Americans-Conference Semi Finals Begin Tonight!

Your Tri City Americans kick off the conference semi-finals tonight in Spokane.

Because the Chiefs were a higher seed going into the playoffs they will get home ice advantage. Games one and two are in Spokane tonight and Sunday, with 6:45 pregame Saturday and 5:45 Sunday.  Then back to Tri Cities Tuesday and Wednesday for Games 3-4 at Toyota Center.  Although Portland was the US Division Regular Season Champion and #1 seed in the Western Conference, they were not tested in sweeping Everett in the first round.  Many WHL experts believe the red-hot Kelowna Rockets could potentially knock off the Winterhawks this round;  these same experts believe the Western Conference Champ will eventually come out of the Spokane-Tri City Series.  The Chiefs and Ams have far more playoff experience, and are battle tested with Spokane winning the WHL title a few years ago, and Tri City the Western Conference Championship last year.  Listen in tonight and Sunday with Craig West on Newstalk 870AM KFLD...and streaming at Newstalk870.am.
