It's likely a Tri-Citian will be playing for the Tri-City Americans this season!

General Manager Bob Tory announced Friday the Americans have acquired forward Taylor Vickerman from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a 2nd round bantam draft pick in 2015.

Vickerman, #26 for Vancouver in photo, played 52 games in Vancouver last season, and scored four goals, 9 total points and 18 penalty minutes.  GM Tory says the 6' 1" 180 lb. will bring size and grit to the Americans lineup, and creates a competitive atmosphere at forward.  Now the Americans have more players than positions available at that slot.

Vickerman was originally a 6th round pick of the Giants in the 2011 WHL draft.  He also is ranked 105th according to Red Line Magazine's top NHL Prospects for the 2014 draft.
