Cheating in school is bad enough, but here comes the TSA -again- with another example of  how not to protect America.

Over the months, Newstalk 870 has brought you countless stories of TSA agents being busted for everything from smuggling drugs, to going through passengers luggage, to even bringing loade weapons into airports.   Now, 7 agents have been fired for alledgedly bribing their instructor in exchange for better or passing grades on their proficiency exams!

A total of ten employees have been removed from security positions, three resigned, and 7 are to be or have been fired after an 8 month investigation revealed an instructor accepted money in exchange for passing grades on tests.  The incidents occured with personell working at the Philadelphia Airport.  the instructor has plead guilty to charges of bribery.

For some comic relief, read the following statement from the TSA on the matter:

TSA holds all of its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards and has zero tolerance for misconduct in the workplace. The agency takes prompt and appropriate action with any employee who does not follow TSAs procedures and engages in misconduct. The decision to propose the removal of the seven TSA employees affirms our strong commitment to the safety of the traveling public and to hold all our employees to the highest standards of conduct and accountability.”

Seems like this has been repeated a lot lately...
