After the much ballyhooed boycott of the Rush Limbaugh Program over his March 2 comments, results are mixed, but Rush turned the table on one advertiser.

Sleep Train has been sponsoring Rush since his early days on the EIB Network. They were one of the first companies to yank their sponsorship from his show after the "slut" comment. This week, however, they asked to return to the show and indicated they wanted to resume sponsorship and have Rush continue his endorsement. In a statement through spokesman Brian Glicklich, Rush had this response to Sleep Train's request:

"Unfortunately, your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either RUSH LIMBAUGH's character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that RUSH will be unable to endorse SLEEP TRAIN in the future."

No official response has been issued by Sleep Train, at least at this time. This follows the backlash against former Rush sponsor Carbonite (online computer backup and security services) whose stock plummeted 12 percent Monday after they pulled out of the show.  A similar drop occurred Tuesday, making Carbonite the biggest loser on NASDAQ by over 75 percent for the week.
