Drivers making their way along Highway 240 past Columbia Park Monday afternoon could see the plume of dark black smoke, and even the flames shooting from the windows of this house across the river in Pasco.

Pasco Police say around 3:30PM fire crews responded to this structure fire near the corner of Sylvester and Road 56, and found the fire shooting our of upstairs windows.

Extensive damage was done inside, although there were no injuries. Police didn't say if the home was occupied or vacant, but investigators say it's suspicious and are treating it as such until they find evidence to the contrary.
