60-Year-Old Arrested for Domestic Violence After Suicide Call

Sunday afternoon, Kennewick police were a bit taken back by the age of a domestic violence suspect.

Around 5:10pm, police were called to the 200 block of East 36th Ave. where they initially were told a subject was suicidal. But upon arrival they learned that a domestic violence assault had occurred before they arrived. After a brief investigation 60-year-old Neil Doherty was taken into custody and is in the Benton County jail on such charges.

No additional information was released by police, the status of the suicide situation was not updated.
