Mosquitos Are Biting — Get Bug Spray & Beware Airplane Spraying

West Nile Virus in our area is real and authorities are ready to start whacking the adult mosquitoes that might be carriers.

Spraying begins around sunset today and the poison takes about 20 minutes to hit the ground. If you see one of the airplanes in your area, it's a good idea to take pets (and yourself) inside.

Apparently the chemical they use kills mosquitoes quickly, then breaks down fairly fast so it doesn't linger in a harmful fashion in the environment.
