A 34-old Moses Lake man will be going to Federal Prison for 50 years after being sentenced late last week.

Mikhail Yuriy Ageyev, who is a resident of Ukraine and lived in Moses Lake, had plead guilty last October after a lengthy investigation revealed he was not only in possession of child porn, but was involved in helping produce it. According to Federal officials:

(Ageyev was found guilty of) "conspiracy to produce child pornography, production of child pornography, and possession of child pornography."

Officials were tipped off to his activity by a variety of sources, said officials. From the Federal release:

"Ageyev came to law enforcement attention through a series of CyberTips from Twitter and the Microsoft Corporation about suspected child pornography uploaded by Ageyev over the internet.  CyberTips are reports to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) of illegal actions taken against children."

The information was first revealed in 2017, in November 2018 a raid on his home confiscated numerous digital devices. He was found to have not only been in possession, but his girlfriend Katrina Michelle Maradee Adams, had helped produce such porn involving her own 2-year-old daughter.

Adams agreed to testify against Ageyev, she is facing a multitude of charges and prison time and will be sentenced later this month.

The Southeast Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SER-ICAC) played a key role in this case. The SER-ICAC operates out of our area, and includes some officers from Tri-City and County law enforcement agencies.
