It took two Taser deployments to help bring down an obviously distraught and violent man in Kennewick Thursday night.

Police responded to the 2900 block of West 7th, where they learned Abraham Diaz, 26, was threatening his father with a sharp piece of 'metal.'

Upon arrival police made brief contact with him through a side window, but then Diaz charged out the front door armed with a metal spike, headed right for the officers. As the officer fired his Taser, it didn't fully deploy, but did delay Diaz long enough that when the officer reloaded and re-fired, it completely incapacitated the suspect.

He was subdued and cuffed and taken to jail, facing various charges, including a previous warrant for his arrest. Pictured are the weapons police found on Diaz at the time of the incident.
