Big Pot Sweep in Franklin County Nets 3 Arrests, Over 400 Plants
Franklin County Sheriff's the Tri-City Regional SWAT Team, and the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force carried out a series of raids and served warrants on 7 locations in Franklin County Thursday.
As a result, three people are in custody, charged in connection with illegal growing operations. Authorities did not say specifically where the grows were, but did release this information from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office:
"...the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, along with the Tri-Cities Metro Drug Task Force, and the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team served seven (7) search warrants in rural Franklin County. The search warrants were for illegal marijuana grows.
43-year-old Juan Gamboa from Pasco, 52-year-old Nicholas Segura from Pasco and 49-year-old Maria Martinez from Kennewick were all arrested for illegal manufacturing of marijuana. Four hundred twenty two plants were seized."
