A 56-year-old man's late night bike ride turned into a ride to jail after it turns out had 2 outstanding warrants.

Shortly before 9pm, a KPD Patrol officer noticed a bike rider on West 10th scooting along without any lights, light clothing, or even reflectors. The officer pulled the rider over with the intention of giving him a safety warning.

But it turns out Terry Young, the rider, had not one but two outstanding warrants, and he did NOT ride off to jail, he was given a courtesy lift from KPD.

Police remind bike riders if you don't have a light, or at least reflectors or other safety gear on your bike and you're riding at night, they will pull you over if they see you.
